Roof Replacement for a Home in Spokane Valley's Otis Orchards
Pictured is a completed roof replacement project for a Spokane area home in Otis Orchards, WA. The homeowner selected GAF/Elk Raised profile 30 year shingles for the new roof, which was applied directly over the old roof. For many homeowners, applying a new shingle roof directly over an existing shingle roof is a cost saving option. This is typically only feasible over a single layer of shingles. If the home has already been roofed in this manner in the past, both layers must generally be stripped off and the roof deck inspected and repaired.
This project also involved new side wall, chimney and pipe flashings, high definition GAF/Elk ridge capping at the peak, and RVO 38 Box style vents (not visible on the rear roof of this western Washignton home).
